This assessment shows that enterprises adopt Red Hat Fuse because they believe in a community-based open source approach to integration for modernizing their integration infrastructure that delivers strong ROI. For these organizations, Fuse was part of a larger digital transformation initiative and was also used to modernize integration. IDC interviewed organizations using Fuse to integrate important business applications across their heterogeneous IT environments. These Red Hat customers reported that Fuse has enabled them to complete substantially more integrations at a higher quality level, thereby supporting their efforts to deliver timely and functional applications and digital services. Efficiencies in application integration with Fuse have generated significant value for study participants, which IDC quantifies at an average value of $75,453 per application integrated per year ($985,600 per organization). They have attained this value by: » Enabling more efficient and effectiv

At a Glance Today’s workforce has grown accustomed to using personal technologies that make communication easy and simplify their lives. But many enterprise tools haven’t kept pace. Most current project and portfolio management solutions fail to provide simple ways of performing everyday tasks. They don’t facilitate contextual communication that would help to solve problems, and they lack key functionality: the ability to narrow the focus to relevant data, to drill down for additional information and to efficiently forecast financials and model outcomes. Download this whitepaper now to see how CA PPM brings more value to your business by providing 15 key features that remain unaddressed by other products on the market today.

Project and portfolio management or PPM software can make or break an organization’s ability to deliver. The recent growth in portfolio management as a strategic business function has led to many vendors of software related to elements of project execution “bolting on” project and portfolio management (PPM) modules. This is a clear attempt to try and get a piece of a growing, lucrative market. Twenty five years ago, PPM software was nothing more than project management software with the ability to publish or share information across projects. It was capable of doing a lot, but none of it was intuitive and therefore wasn’t particularly useful. Compared to today’s solutions, those products were dinosaurs. Since then, many vendors have invested a lot of money into their solutions, developing world-class offerings that can truly support effective management of the portfolio, and, more important, of the business that portfolio drives.

One of the biggest challenges IT ops teams face is the lack of visibility across its infrastructure — physical, virtual and in the cloud. Making things even more complex, any infrastructure monitoring solution needs to not only meet the IT team’s needs, but also the needs of other stakeholders including line of business (LOB) owners and application developers. For companies already using a monitoring platform like Splunk, monitoring blindspots arise from the need to prioritize across multiple departments. This report outlines a four-step approach for an effective IT operations monitoring (ITOM) strategy. Download this report to learn: How to reduce monitoring blind spots when creating an ITOM strategy How to address ITOM requirements across IT and non-IT groups Distinct layers across ITOM Potential functionality gaps with domain-specific products

NSS Labs performed an independent test of the Cisco AMP for Endpoints v6.0.5. The product was subjected to thorough testing at the NSS facility in Austin, Texas, based on the Advanced Endpoint Protection (AEP) Test Methodology v2.0, which is available at www.nsslabs.com. This test was conducted free of charge and NSS did not receive any compensation in return for Cisco’s inclusion. This report provides detailed information about this product and its security effectiveness. Additional comparative information is available at www.nsslabs.com. As part of the initial AEP test setup, products were configured in a deployment mode typical to enterprises. As such, products were configured to mimic an enterprise environment by applying typical applications such as exclusion policies and tuning requirements. All product-based configurations are reviewed, validated, and approved by NSS prior to the test. Every effort is made to ensure optimal security effectiveness, as would be the aim of a typi

The concept of a virtual, digital equivalent to a physical product or the Digital Twin was introduced in 2003 at a University of Michigan Executive Course on Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) taught by Dr. Michael Grieves. In light of these advances, it is timely to explore how the Digital Twin can move from an interesting and potentially useful concept that aids in understanding the relationship between a physical product and its underlying information to a critical component of an enterprise-wide closed-loop product lifecycle. Understand how focusing on the connection between physical product and virtual product will improve productivity, uniformity of production, and ensure the highest quality products.

A&D manufacturers and their suppliers now depend more than ever on global supply chains. As they reach across time zones, languages and cultures, supply chains have to work around challenges that build up costs and drag down production schedules. Communication between distributed engineering and production centers can be labored and error-prone. These problems are often compounded by repetitive programming, incomplete simulations, time-intensive production methods, and concern that the shop floor may not be working with current data. Ideally, global companies should be able to design products at any location and produce them at selected sites, with all stakeholders from design to the shop floor working concurrently from a single unique global data source. Understand how manufacturing companies can deliver machined parts faster and increase revenue by reducing costs – despite operating globally across time zones and cultures.

This spotlight report examines: • How Manufacturing Operations Management (MOM) or Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) are key enablers of data management and Digital Transformation. Companies can combine many other opportunities with manufacturing operations in a digital journey. • Product lifecycle management (PLM) as a high-value discipline to pair with MOM in discrete manufacturing, and the value of digital continuity across engineering, manufacturing operations, and supply chain. • A robust integration of MOM and PLM technologies and the advent of the Digital Twin (a virtual copy of the product and how it's made) to demonstrate maturity in Smart Manufacturing and the ability to make smart products in smart factories. The IIoT has opened up a world of opportunity for manufacturers. Take advantage of it.

Implementing omnichannel marketing is often difficult, especially when using digital channels. Most products designed for digital channels lack the ability to integrate with traditional channels that have on-site processes and data. SAS Customer Intelligence 360 enables businesses to use both cloud and on-site channels and data. This integration is possible because of SAS software’s hybrid cloud architecture.
