The Cray XC series is a distributed memory system developed as part of Cray’s participation in the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency’s (DARPA) High Productivity Computing System (HPCS) program. However, processing payments and the exchange of value on a platform or marketplace can be challenging. Stripe commissioned Forrester Consulting to evaluate the challenges that platforms and their sellers face, and the solutions they seek. Through a global online survey of 2,030 platform sellers and four in-depth interviews, Forrester found that platforms struggle to provide their sellers with much-needed payment capabilities, reporting, and customer support services with in-house resources alone. Stripe commissioned Forrester Consulting to conduct a Total Economic Impact™ (TEI) study and examine the potential return on investment (ROI) enterprises may realize by deploying Stripe Connect, an offering that allows marketplaces and platforms to accept payments from and send payouts to third parties. Forrester’s interviews with four existing Stripe clients and subsequent financial analysis found that an organization based on these interviewed organizations experienced benefits of $6.1 million over three years versus costs of $1.3 million, adding up to a net present value (NPV) of $4.
