Technology is empowering today’s consumers like never before. Consumers are getting used to buying, communicating and interacting with service providers whenever and however they want. Downtime is unacceptable and as a result broadband and telco providers are constantly put to the test with regards to customer service. There is an enormous disconnect between what customers expect and what broadband and telco providers are actually providing. All customers want to be understood as individuals, but this need is not always being met. Moving forward, broadband and telco providers need to differentiate themselves and provide innovative solutions in order retain as well as gain new customers. It is no surprise that nearly half of broadband/Telco providers believe customer service is a critical competitive differentiator. It is no secret banks are losing customers, and fast. A recent Finextra/Pegasystems survey pegs that 78% of banks have lost business in the last 12 months. The question is “Why?”. It all comes down to engaging with customers before, during and even after the sales process. Nearly all banks are struggling with the impact of client due diligence and KYC (know your customer) regulation on their onboarding processes, and are painfully aware that lack of speed, process visibility and repeat data requests are frustrating their corporate customers. The same holds true for service, where corporates are crying out for improvement, as well as omni-channel access and quick turnaround of service requests and inquiries. To stop the sales decline, banks need to begin doing all these things well. They will then be more competitive in the market as well as retain and win new business. Download this research study and gain a better understanding of how banks can better meet the needs of their customers

Managing the PC life-cycle environment can be a complicated and expensive process. Enterprises with old and outdated systems require increased support, have higher maintenance costs, and see interrupted workforce productivity. However, consolidating processes and enlisting the help of vendor partners will greatly reduce costs and provide expert-level knowledge for a better PC life-cycle management operation. In April 2016, Dell commissioned Forrester Consulting to conduct a study with 230 IT decision-makers with knowledge of desktop infrastructure environments at their organization. All respondents were significantly involved in the decision-making process for PC and device management and had significant expert-level knowledge about the PC life-cycle process.

In order to keep pace with the growth of business mobility without falling prey to its potential risks, IT must be able to efficiently address complex issues ranging from service provisioning, device procurement, and security oversight. Why? Information workers need access to often sensitive information across a wide range of business applications and devices from wherever they are. In other words, security and privacy policies that doesn’t impede end-user productivity will empower workers and boost their performance. In July 2017, Dell commissioned Forrester to conduct a study of the 21st century workforce and how their new habits, attitudes, and workstyles are reshaping the world of work. With more personas in a single organization to cater to, businesses are failing to deliver against workforce demands. To get their tasks done, workers are circumventing security policies to get what they want, in their moment of need. Organizations have to understand the different behaviors across

Today, IT leaders address the PC lifecycle across a continuum from control to transformation. Control is geared to optimization, while transformation focuses on the business impact of technology. Though the two approaches differ, they are not in opposition. They strive for the same goals and face similar challenges. As IT leaders provide their workforce with the tools to carry out the corporate mission, they should develop a PC lifecycle strategy that encompasses the key organizational needs of systems management, end-user productivity, business innovation and data-centric security. Read this Dell whitepaper to learn more about the findings of a recent Forrester Consulting study, “Digital Transformers Innovate, Digital Controllers Optimize”. This paper will help clarify the PC lifecycle continuum, from the basics of control to the advanced levels of transformation, so you will be better equipped to determine the needs of your organization on that spectrum.

In December 2017, Dell commissioned Forrester Consulting to conduct a study refresh to determine how enterprise organizations are structured from an IT departmental perspective. The study explored two types of IT: digital controllers and digital transformers; and the trends and challenges seen in PC provisioning. Digital controllers are often associated with top-down approach, linear structure, and emphasize security and accuracy. In contrast, digital transformers focus on innovation, employee-and customer-centricity, and prioritize speed and flexibility. By understanding the two groups, enterprises can overcome challenges that arise from PC life-cycle management. By investing in existing PC management tools and partnering with a company that specializes in PC deployment and management, firms can empower employees to better serve customers. Download this Forrester report to learn more about the approach and strategy differences in how these two groups address the dynamic digital demand
