Today’s most successful brands blend Artificial Intelligence (AI) and automation with human intelligence (HUMINT) to augment their customer and employee experience strategies in the contact center – and as a result, they’re winning over customers. While some tasks are perfect for automation – think about those mundane, repetitive, low-value actions – the truth is, AI simply cannot replicate the “human touch.” Understanding the strengths of each kind of intelligence (AI + HUMIT), and using them to cooperatively deliver exceptional employee and customer experiences is a pivotal competitive differentiator for brands. These leading brands agree there are four specific ways to drive the greatest outcomes – and we go into detail about them in all our Contact Center Collaborative Intelligence strategy guide.

This IDC study represents a vendor assessment of SaaS and cloud-enabled enterprise content application software vendors as of 2019 through the IDC MarketScape methodology at a worldwide level. This assessment presents both quantitative and qualitative characteristics of cloud content management applications in the market, as it relates to the planning, budgeting, and forecasting tasks that are typically conducted in support of managing and processing content in a global setting. The evaluation is based on a comprehensive and rigorous framework that assesses each vendor relative to the criteria and to one another. It was a requirement that the content application not only runs in a cloud setting but also takes advantage of the cloud constructs such as multiregional data and process orchestration, scale and elasticity of users and data, distributed agility with edge computing, and selfservice purchasing and provisioning of modules.

Today, employees spend around 10–20% of their time on mundane, repetitive tasks that can be easily automated. With Robotic Process Automation (RPA), businesses can offload these cumbersome tasks to their Digital Workforce, giving human workers more time for productivity and innovation. According to Forbes, automation can save employees up to six to nine weeks of effort each year, saving businesses four million dollars annually. This recovered time can be reinvested into career development and personal growth opportunities, making work more human.. Gartner predicts that by 2020, 40% of large enterprises will have adopted Robotic Process Automation (RPA), up from less than 10% today. The evidence is overwhelmingly clear. To be competitive today–and tomorrow–you must automate. But which products should you buy for your organization?

Performance evaluation is coming of age. Once a narrow, back office role focused solely on crunching returns, it has become ever more integrated into the DNA of investment firms. Both internally and externally, performance evaluation adds value, helping senior management make key judgement calls where the difference between the right solution and the wrong solution is the difference between growth or decline. The performance analyst of the future will provide valuable input into nearly every area of an investment firm. What began as a mathematical task—calculating investment returns—is morphing into something much broader. The objective of performance evaluation today is determining what is behind the return being analyzed. What were the key drivers—allocation or selection? What risk was taken to achieve the return? Was it skill, or was it luck, that produced the return?

In this case study, a large enterprise with an increasing amount of off-site work from both work-related travel and a fast-growing remote workforce, is faced with a unique challenge to ensure their data security is scalable and impenetrable. Their data access policies rely on physical access management provided at the company offices and do not always provide off-site employees with the ability to complete work-critical tasks. Legacy security solutions only add burden to productivity, sometimes causing employees to ignore security protocols in order to simply complete their work. Upon evaluating security vendors for a frictionless solution, they selected BehavioSec for its enterprise-grade capabilities with on-premise deployment and integration with existing legacy risk management systems.

There are many challenging tasks when developing autonomous driving features to cope with the various changes to the environment. Often lane markings are faded or are covered with snow or dirt and can be difficult for a camera-based detection system. In this report, VSI addresses the application of HD map assets to improve the safety and performance of automated vehicle features within the context of lane keeping and trajectories. VSI has been examining applications of HD maps in our test vehicle. In a previous report, we discussed map-based Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) using the advised speed attributes from HERE’s HD map data. In this report, we apply HERE’s HD map data to a lane keeping application and examine performance of lane keeping with a map-based approach compared to a camera and computer vision-based approach.
